Poster Research and Ideas

Before hand we had created a poster draft which looked like this:

 

 

however we felt this did not meet the criteria of having a synergetic relationship with each of our media products, therefore to create a more professional piece we have done some research on what we would like to include.

This was one of the posters that made us start thinking about using images within images, and how double exposure could create an effective poster.

 

 

 

 

 

We liked the idea of double exposure but thought about what if something was to be coming out of her, we found this film poster which we liked however the colour palette and the city wouldn’t reflect our own short film, but has added inspiration into our pieces.

 

we then thought about adding images within images of something that represents what our short film was about, we could add in Ophelia and her flowers, however again we felt that this didn’t reflect the style and message of our short film so we carried on searching through.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

This one is striking, her posture of turning away from the camera express a sense of mystery, we don’t know who the character is making it more generic, the flower petals that are exploding out of her body almost like ashes scattering suggests she is torn or her death is imminent. it could say that she is part of nature as these flowers are almost part of her. This poster is definitely something I want to include as the central image with her posture and the petals.
